Raeya Garcia (she/her) was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Austin, Texas. She began her theatre journey at 12 years old as an actress but soon learned that her passions lie backstage.

From there, Raeya worked at ZACH Theatre (Austin, TX) as a production assistant for their Pre-Professional Company and then at Lees Mc-Rae Summer Theatre (Banner Elk, NC) as an assistant stage manager on Matilda the Musical. She has since worked at companies such as Totem Pole Playhouse (Fayetteville, PA), Interlakes Summer Theatre (Meredith, NH), Queen City Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Ballet (Cincinnati, OH).

She is a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (UC-CCM) with a BFA in Stage Management. While at UC-CCM, there were many opportunities to grow and hone her managerial skills. She is always eager to learn new strategies and adapt practices to create a more equitable environment for all.

Currently, she is working as an AGMA assistant stage manager at Cincinnati Opera on Lalovavi (world premiere).
