Raeya Garcia (she/her) was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Austin, Texas. She began her theater journey at 12 years old as an actress, but soon learned her true passion lies backstage. ​

From there, Raeya worked on around 40 productions in various capacities in high school, and has since gone on to work at ZACH Theatre (Austin, TX), Lees Mc-Rae Summer Theatre (Banner Elk, NC), Totem Pole Playhouse (Fayetteville, PA), Interlakes Summer Theatre (Meredith, NH), Queen City Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Ballet (Cincinnati, OH)!

She is a recent graduate from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (UC-CCM) with a BFA in Stage Management. At UC-CCM, she took advantage of the plentiful opportunities to grow and hone her managerial skills. She is always eager to learn new strategies and adapt practices to create a more equitable environment for all.

Most recently, she worked as an AGMA assistant stage manager at Cincinnati Opera on Lalovavi (world premiere) and an assistant stage manager at The Carnegie (Covington, KY) and at Zach Theater (Austin, TX).

In her free time, Raeya enjoys knitting sweaters, drinking lattes and spending time with her beloved cat, Gracie!
